Branches of Foreign Companies
a.After issuance of SAGIA?s decision opening a foreign company according to Foreign Capital Investment Regulations the foreign company shall approach General Directorate of Companies with an application enclosing the following documents
◦Copy of company?s articles of association in its original country and a copy of its commercial registration.
◦A decision of the partners in the company to open a branch identifying the city and designating the manager of the branch. All of these documents shall be duly certified and translated into Arabic by a certified translation office.
◦Certificate from an approved local bank stating the deposit of branch capital.
b.After considering the application by Directorate of Companies, a decision from His Excellency the Minister of Commerce shall be arranged. Then the Directorate of Companies writes to the Commercial Registration Office or to the ministry branch to enter the company in the commercial register. The branch manager shall report to the registration office or branch of the Ministry for completing the registration procedures and filling out the form required and sign it before registration official and pay the fixed fees. The following must be appended:
◦Copy of the passport, residence permit card and labor card of the employee.
◦Copy of the lease contract of the company's main office.
◦Copy of SAGIA?s decision.
◦All documents shall be submitted in a hanger file.
