ATTESTATION OF DOCUMENTS (Pakistan)

Leagalizing or Attesation of Documents

Affidavits/Power of Attorney/Undertakings: Copies of valid Pakistani passports NIC/CNIC/NICOP can be attested, on production of Original.

Power of Attorney/ Undertakings/ Affidavit/ Bank papers/ Guarantees etc: The Executant (S) has/ have to appear in person with his/her original CNIC/NICOP and 02 copies of the documents and copies of CNIC/NICOP and have to sign the documents at the counter.

Documents issued from Pakistan: All types of documents issued from Pakistan must be attested from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad/Karachi/Lahore/Quetta/Peshawar before submitting it for attestation in the Embassy. It is mandatory to attest the original documents from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan and the Embassy.

Documents issued from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: All type of documents issued from Saudi Arabia must be attested from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Saudi Arabia before submitting it for attestation.

Documents issued from foreign countries other than Pakistan & Saudi Arabia: All type of documents issued from other Foreign countries have to be attested first from the Diplomatic Mission of that country, followed by attestation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Saudi Arabia before submitting it in the Embassy for attestation.

After completion of above mandatory conditions the following procedures should be adopted before approaching the Embassy or the Consular Teams for attestation.

The documents being attested should be in duplicate.

The original document is must to be attested before attestation any copy.

Original CNIC/NICOP/Passport of the applicant with a copy.

If the document for attestation is submitted by an authorized person then he must carry an authority letter from the applicant with original CNIC/NICOP/Passport of the applicant and his own.
